NorthamptonStateHospital.com is privately owned and operated at no expense to, or affiliation with the City of Northampton or the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. Those seeking patient records should contact the Massachusetts State Archives or the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. Visits
Northampton State Hospital has been demolished and is no longer state property. The former Old Main campus is home to residential apartments and condos, which at the time of this writing are still being developed. There is little need to request permission to visit. The Memorial Complex grounds are home to Kollmorgen, thus some care should be taken to avoid wandering through as defense manufacturers rarely appreciate unannounced guests.
